Is Philippine Prudential A Scam?

We are living in a society where poverty is an issue. People want to be financially stable and with that some choose to invest their savings in what we called INSURANCE.

Recently Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company (PPLIC) linked to “scams” allegation. There are number of people complaining about the company marketing strategies, yet the company is still operating and to my surprise, I saw a message from Pres. Benigno Aquino about PPLIC 51st Anniversary. If the company is a bogus one, why is that PNoy had something to say good about them? This complicates everything.

People said that their marketing strategy in malls were like this. They are to ask you if you have a credit card or any bank accounts then if you have they will introduce you their products.  I am too personally experienced it, but the first second the personnel asked me if I have a credit card, I confidently said that I’m not interested and walked away as if nothing happened.

With what I have read about the PPLIC Scams, I got a pushed to research if the scam is really true or not and after a deep search I found couple of links that has something good to say about the issue. Below are the links, you may likely check them out.

Hope the links are helpful. If you have something to say, please feel free to drop your comments below. Thanks for reading!

  1. I think people must read this blog. I appreciate your effort to found all of these links. I think that the message of PNOY about this insurance scam in the Philippines will clarify the issue of PLIC as a scam.

  3. I agree with you Zab Clement. I wonder why the highest government official of the Philippines would bother writing a congratulatory message like that. If he will be doing it, of course his reputation is at stake to. Maybe people are just going crazy of cancelling their insurance policies because of the negative publicity other blogs are promoting. Or maybe, they have mistakenly thought that Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company is the bankrupt company Prudential Life Plans. I think this article will be a good read about this issue. Insurer Philippine Prudential says it isn’t the shuttered Prudential Life Plans.
